



			Shirley Mack has lived at Toquaht Bay for over 25 years and her ancestors in the Toquaht Nation have called this area home for hundreds of years. Her dream of operating a store in the area began in the late 1980's when she designated a small room in her home as a store. At the time there simply wasn’t enough business to continue, but her dream never died.

		Toquart Bay Store Toquart Bay Store opened in May of 2001 to serve the increasing number of visitors to the area and the residents of Macoah and Salmon Beach Recreational Village. After one year of operation the store expanded to accommodate a larger selection of groceries, snacks, pop, block and cube ice, camping supplies, fishing tackle and licenses, charts and maps as well as fuel and propane. A new addition to the selection in 2007 is a line of souvenir items for those visitors who wish to take home reminder of their visit. Located just 6 km’s from the campground and 8 km’s from Salmon Beach, the store is a convenient drive from either location. It can also be accessed by water when the tide is up since it is located on the shores of Barkley Sound along Macoah Channel. Store phone : 250-726-8306
